Tanonoka says that there is no unity in the coalition government, and he urges the MDC to stop pretending that unity exists. He says the MDC needs to snap-out of its “perpetual denial” and start strengthening itself ahead of elections.
Bulawayo based artist Owen Maseko was arrested in March and spent 4 days in police custody after an exhibition of his paintings opened depicting the Gukurahundi era and decades of oppression under Mugabe’s regime. This week the Home Affairs Ministry and the Censorship Board banned his artwork describing it as a ‘tribal based event’. Maseko has now been charged with insulting Mugabe. He joins Lance Guma to talk about the entire saga.
